I just got off a call with a client who I started working with a couple of months ago. What a great conversation.
I started an In-house Sales Leadership Coaching program with this client just 3 months ago. This saw me being in-house with them for a day every couple of months and structured GTM’s in the months that I’m not in-house. The focus has been to get some structure, targets and accountability into the sales teams and develop the sales manager to be able to deliver long term growth and leadership.
Well, after just 2 days working with the team over 3 months and 2 Go-To-Meetings, the Sales Manager, Mark (name changed for confidentiality), told me that the team had exceeded their November stretch target by 21% and were aiming for their biggest sales month ever in January which will be 35% above target. The team had now collectively set this as a goal which is driving their behaviour.
As Mark said “Had you told me 3 months ago that we could achieve these levels of sales, I would have said you were on drugs!” It’s amazing what some structure, focus and accountability can bring to a company. I’m so looking forward to the next 9 months with them on the program.
